A Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving Henkel's Quality systems. The Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting in the management of nonconforming materials, customer complaints, corrective actions, maintaining & creating Quality Policies and Procedures, mathematical analysis and capability support for statistical process and quality control, Document Control approvals, internal and customer quality audits.

Additionally, the Quality Engineer may be involved in Raw Material changes, Product Development, ADP Qualification Process, Supplier Quality Assurance and the initiation and control of changes to Customer Process Control.

What we offer

  • Facilitate Problem Solving Teams for both VOC and internal Issues.
  • Guides and supports the Decision Board (DB), a team which determines the disposition of materials suspected of non-conformance to requirements in accordance with the Quality Assurance Manual.
  • The team will regularly report to management their actions as well as summary of causes of non-conforming materials.

  • Support CCMS - Guides, directs and determines root cause and corrective actions for continuous improvement. Deals directly with product related issues and business systems related issues.
  • Included in this activity is the regular reporting of defect analysis and proposed solutions for preventative action.

  • Supports the development of product Key Characteristics and Key Process Parameters identification and supports the implementation of Statistical Process Control in the production environment.
  • Support of Product Development teams as needed, product testing support for the Quality Control department, failure analysis support as needed, maintenance of both Henkel and Customer Process Control Documents.
  • Communication with Customers in resolution of issues and problems and Customer audits.
  • Use process and data driven analysis to assist with focused projects to improve quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Provides Quality Assurance support as assigned for plant activities, Field Sales and Customers.
  • Operation and maintenance of the assigned technical and Quality databases, successfully achieving the objectives for the assignment.
  • Must provide technical support to the supplier management program to successfully achieve the goals of that program.
  • Must be able to lead others as well as to delegate activities for successful completion of projects.
  • Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering or Chemistry preferred).
  • 3+ years of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment, aerospace or closely related industry.
  • Understanding of ISO 9100, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements, with practical application in aerospace preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and proficient in use of SAP, with particular knowledge of the Quality Module.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to lead and coordinate efforts between various functional groups to address customer requirements and requests, and to complete projects related to the achievement of established quality improvement objectives.
  • Willing to spend time on the manufacturing floor gaining knowledge as well as developing solutions with the ops input.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and work on multiple projects.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Language Skills : Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customer, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write technical and customer specific reports that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management as well as operations personnel.

  • Mathematical Skills : Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Reasoning Ability : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret An extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract variables.
  • Support : Support / Assist customers across the globe in different time zones based on regional assignment.
