Mission

CIMA+ is currently seeking applications for a Project Manager for upcoming projects in Toronto, Ontario.

The role of the project manager is to be responsible for the execution of institutional projects and deliver them with CIMA+ standards of quality.

The successful candidates will possess 5+ or more years of experience directly in Project Management with an emphasis on someone who has worked on medium-

large scale post-secondary building projects in Canada. The individual will be responsible for managing all phases of a project including project planning, design, contract administration, quality control, staffing, and budget management.

We are looking for a professional who wants to be challenged and is ready to join a dynamic team that is rapidly expanding.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multidisciplinary projects and be the project manager for the delivery of projects for public and government clients
  • Prepare, convene the various partners and lead coordination meetings necessary to the progress of the project;
  • Ensure coordination between engineering and operating departments and contractors;
  • Handling a complex matrix of stakeholders, both internal and external to the company on projects;
  • Manage WBS, budgets (costs, forecasts, trends, etc), schedule (level I-V on MS Project and / or P6), month end reports;
  • Responsible of the follow-up with clients, consultants and contractors regarding the control of project activities (forecasting dates, updating hours on tasks, earned value, percentage complete, resource management / over allocation);
  • Participate in various site meetings and project planning activities. Act as a single point of contact between the client and the contracted parties;
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals and contribute to business development.
  • Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering is a must;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience;
  • LEED Building certification is a must;
  • Experience working within large Design groups and Construction teams during project execution.
  • Ability to liaise with clients, contractors and consultants;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skills;
  • Masters in Architecture / Project Management is an asset;
  • Project Management Professional Designation is an asset;
  • Combination of relevant experience and education will be considered.
