Position Description : The Role

The Role

The Operations Assistant provides timely and accurate resolution of all administrative duties surrounding inbound and outbound shipments.

Responsibilities

Assembling daily outgoing driver’s paperwork

Credit / Claims administration; analyze, approve and enter

Maintain daily contact with Customer Service in Calgary, build relationships, problem solve, to resolve OS&D Claim issues on an ongoing basis

Proactively communicate OS&D information and issues as necessary

Work with Transportation and Warehouse Supervisors daily, build relationships and problem solve

Maintain A ranking with H.A.C.C.P program by maintaining all information stored in the centre’s HACCP books

Administer the D.Q.M.P. temperature monitoring program

Complete daily Product Requirement Report by analyzing and coordinating results with Customer Service and centre’s Inventory Control

Purchase Order Entry

Deliver outstanding customer service

Support Operations when required

Receptions duties; includes greeting guests and answering telephone

All filing for the department

Requirements

High school education or equivalent

One to five years of previous experience in a related field is also desirable

Customer Service experience a real asset

Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage many tasks at the same time

Strong customer service aptitude, organizational and decision-making skills

Detail oriented, highly accurate, conscientious and dependable

Able to work independently as well as a team player

Proficient in MSOffice skills, particularly in Outlook, Word and Excel

Experience with ERP and WMS systems an asset

Work Environment

The work environment is in an office setting of a multi-temperature distribution centre. Safety shoes are a requirement as there may be occasional trips onto the warehouse floor.

Business casual attire is required. Your shift will include weekend work, 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm Saturday and Sundays as well as additional shifts maybe required in terms of days of the week coverage for hours of work (vacation).

Shift timings and scheduled days of work may change from time to time based on business requirements; therefore, flexibility in your schedule is a job requirement.

This is an hourly paid position.
