Reporting to the Vice-President Co-manufacturing, the Sales Director Co-manufacturing will be accountable for delivering business objectives and development of Leclerc Foods products by developing and executing sales and marketing strategic plans within assigned budgets at emerging customers.
Develop comprehensive customers business plans to deliver the company objectives;
Achieve forecast accuracy target and develop strong relationship with customers;
Develop, negotiate and manage supply agreements with the assistance of the legal team;
Facilitate process development and improvement with stakeholders;
elp to facilitate communication with all channels involved in the contract with internal teams (R&D, supply, planning) and external resources;
Determine the most cost-effective production location for contract manufactured items to insure a stable and consistent
supply at the lowest delivered cost;
Participate in commercialization team meetings to manage the operational and technical aspects of product commercialization, including : new products, new packaging, capital investment and the start-up of new lines;
Provide the organisation with recommendations on accounts and channels business opportunities;
Contact prospective business clients within specific industries;
Maintain a high level of sales activity;
Attend industry conventions and networking events;
Follow market developments, search for new opportunities, and other revenue enhancing initiatives;
Develop and execute sales plans;
Contribute to establish report goals and accomplishments (sales reports) monthly;
Manage existing and new customer relationships;
Ensure customer service with the help of Sales support;
Deliver the planned annual sales and profit targets for select categories while managing trade effectively;
Work with direct guidance from manager as it relates to business planning and customer strategy;
Execute business strategies and tactics as directed;
Customer accountability may range from partial accountability for one or two large accounts to full accountability for multiple small accounts;
Strategize customer business initiatives and develop joint business plans with customers;
Conduct sales analytics, using available insights to provide solutions to customer needs;
Maximization of trade investments and efficiencies aligned to business objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field of study;
10 to 15 years of significant experience in the snacks food industry;
Proven track record in a copacking industry;
Extensive experience and knowledge of complex sales process, strategic selling, forecasting / planning, project management, negotiation and relationship-
building with multiple functions at the client level;
Strong business and financial acumen : business analytics skills, customer P & L agility, ability to plan, track and evaluate trade management;
Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent judgment, strong sense of ethics and integrity, result oriented;
Extensive travel required;
Expertise in Microsoft software; PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook, and thorough knowledge of Web-based applications required;
Excellent presentation, organizational and communication skills;
Strong negotiation skills.
