Crestline Coach Ltd. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer CNC Programmer to add to our Team.

Some of the key activities of this role include :

  • Analyze job orders
  • Review CAD models and / or engineering drawings
  • Make calculations to determine where and how materials should be processed
  • Define the best sequence of machining steps
  • Decide tools, speeds, feeds and fixtures to be used
  • Generate program code using SigmaNEST (or equivalent) to capture all these decisions
  • Run simulation tests
  • Conduct quality testing and correct / improve program code to increase efficiency, quality and safety
  • Work closely with machinists / operators to ensure the proper setup and operation of all CNC machines to maximize efficiency, safety of operations
  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure designs support effective and efficient operations
  • Work with Production and lead all manufacturing problem solving activities on the factory floor, leading to productivity, lead time, and quality improvements
  • Seek out problems, devise countermeasures, and follow through to successful implementation to the satisfaction of our internal customers
  • Lead the design, development, and production of all jigs and fixtures that may be necessary, including negotiating with external contractors, in some cases
  • Create and maintain all work instructions with inputs from key stakeholders, particularly Production and Engineering
  • Train operators in work instructions and standard work
  • Work with Engineering and Production to develop new processes for new product designs or updates
  • Support Safety & Quality Team as necessary
  • The successful candidate will have :

  • Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Proficient in G-code and M-code programming
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as a CNC Programmer programming with 2D / 3D CAM / CAD software for multi-axis machining 2D & 3D projects, 3-
  • Axis CNC Routing, and CNC Bending Machines

  • Minimum of five years’ experience with a manufacturing company, preferably in a manufacturing support or problem-solving role
  • Practical experience in CAD / CAM software including : Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and SigmaNEST, metal manufacturing, design for manufacturing and practical fabrication is an asset
  • Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines
  • Knowledge in sheet metal bending with understanding of bend allowance / tooling
  • Experience with Project Management is an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing is an asset
  • Experience with composite manufacturing is an asset
