PhD in Mathematics or Statistics, or a Masters degree in Statistics, or a Masters degree in a field related to Statistics with at least one unit of coursework in Statistics at the graduate level.
In addition, experience teaching a similar introductory statistics course to non-science majors.In addition, experience with using MINITAB for data analysis is required.
Preparation, teaching, student consultation, grading and marking, distribution of student evaluation questionnaires, involvement in student appeals, and other duties appropriate to the appointment.
All distance (DLCE) courses require completion of current technology orientation from DLCE.
Additional Duties :
The candidate will assist with writing and proctoring exams.
This is a coordinated course with a laboratory component.
The laboratory components are taught by the laboratory instructor.
Instructors are required to follow the course syllabus and guidelines for assignments, midterm and final exams, and grades.
Remuneration is in accordance with the Collective Agreement between Mount Saint Vincent University and CUPE 3912
