Compliance Analyst Bilingual (Montréal)
TELUS Professional Services are looking for a Compliance Analyst who can deliver effective regulatory solutions and implement new business opportunities to a strategic client in the P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance industry.
The successful candidate will need to ensure that the activities of the compliance team are carried in accordance with regulatory implementation requirements of Insurance Acts and Regulations, along with client service level agreements.
Review business development applications, recommending acceptable courses of action that meet regulatory and client requirements and create comprehensive summary reports for approval.
Interpret and communicate the impact of regulatory requirements from Insurance Acts / Regulations by reviewing regulatory bulletins and other sources of regulator information from the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, Superintendents of Insurance and / or Insurance Councils.
Provide guidance on compliance issues and identify potential risks including penalties to the Client.
Provide guidance and support to compliance team to define efficient business solutions; work closely with management to prioritize activities and deliverables.
Maintain thorough documentation to support processes of service level agreements and key performance indicators.
Enhance compliance and organizational reputation.
Own the customer relationship and act as a trusted advisor.
Knowledge, skills and abilities :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of the Insurance industry (e.g. Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, Superintendents of Insurance, Insurance Councils, insurance brokerage organizations).
Knowledge of regulatory processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective with internal groups and external parties including regulatory agencies.
Strong critical thinking skills including problem solving and decision making.
Proficient in negotiation approaches. Excellence in client service (Tact and diplomacy).
