This role works with the analytics team and various departments to gather data and provide analysis of the financial and operational performance of our Ontario locations.
Gathers data from a variety of sources to generate the Daily Operating Report (DOR).
Monitors and reviews the Daily Operating Report and its distribution list.
Provides the Marketing team with a breakdown of the running projected Marketing expenses.
Assists in the preparation, analysis and review of the monthly financial performance report to the board of directors.
Performs various audits to ensure a high degree of accuracy and reliability of the financial results and gaming statistics used by the Board, senior management, lenders and auditors.
Works with the Controllers to provide reports to close off month-end.

What You’ll Require
Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related field. Preferably enrolled in an accounting designation.
1 year of experience in performing financial analysis
Position will require working hours aligned with Eastern Time Zone
Experience with Cognos Microsoft BI and / or Great Plains accounting software preferred
Solid knowledge of finance and accounting concepts and processes
Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members from many different departments with competing priorities
Ability to plan, organize and effectively manage multiple priorities in a timely manner.
Flexibility to adapt to constantly changing priorities.
Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to explain complex concepts in an easy to understand manner for both senior managers and non-financial managers.
Knowledge of data mining software and high-volume accounting software preferred.
Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets (MS Excel).
Knowledge of data base structure, email and web browsers.
