Job Description :
Provides support to end users on all IT related issues. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems Tracks and monitors the problem to insure a timely resolution. Provides on sitetechnical support and provides resolution of IT related problems.
Participates in theimplementation and insures end user adherence to corporate IT standards and systems. Participates in the On-Call rotation.
Key responsibilities :
Install new and / or expand existing personal computer based systems andperipherals
Troubleshoot, test, and diagnose computer problems for end-users
Support, monitor and test hardware and software problems pertaining to LAN
Recommends and schedules repairs to IT equipment
Determine required software and hardware needs for end-user following corporateguidelines
Load new or update existing software in workstations and notebooks
Install and maintain network printers, scanners and other networked equipment
Conduct general network support in accordance to IT standards
Repair and update network hardware equipment in accordance to corporatestandards
Provide remote or on site support to other locations in the corporation as assigned
Analyze, recommend, set up and / or maintain local IT solutions as needed
Track and monitor problems to identify recurring trends, document resolution forfuture response. Maintain help desk ticket system
Coordinate complex problems with other IT technical staff or third party vendorsas situation requires
Provide (Basic) hardware and software training and support to end-users
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications :
Strong knowledge of hardware and software and how they interact. (CompTIAA+, Network+, or Server+ an asset)
Strong knowledge of effective end-user troubleshooting techniques
Strong knowledge of current technologies
Ability to learn and apply new technologies
Capable of working independently, take on responsibilities and prioritize multiple tasks
Effective written and verbal communication skills in French and English
