Outline of duties

The Management Accounting Coordinator supports Management Accounting managers and their teams in the management of the financial activities of Canadian operations and helps provides a financial overview of Canadian operations.

More specifically, the Management Accounting Coordinator :

  • Analyzes and explains, at period end, certain corporate expenses and other costs of goods sold, by business sector
  • Supports monthly consolidation of the plants’ explanations of results by business sector, ensures that explanations of variances are consistent in the month-
  • end documents, produces consolidated reports for managers

  • Periodically sees to consolidated monitoring of Canada Operations’ economic projects, tracks calculation and realization of savings
  • Generates reports from the systems used for variance analysis
  • Looks at management tools critically and suggests improvements to make use of the tools efficient and optimal
  • Consolidates information by business sector during the budgeting period
  • Supports definition, monitoring and analysis of KPIs for operations
  • Participates in benchmarking studies across Canadian sites and recommends improvements to standardize management tools
  • Supports Management Accounting managers with ad hoc analysis projects at the corporate level and at Canadian sites for the purpose of implementing plant cost tracking methods
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a major in Accounting or Finance, combined with a recognized professional accounting designationgranted or in progress
  • 0 to 2 years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing industry
  • Bilingual French and English, written and spoken
  • Self-starter, thorough, with strong analytical skills
  • Available to travel occasionally to the various sites
  • A team player with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent command of Excel
  • Familiarity with an ERP and the Business Intelligencecomponent
