Position Summary

Exciting new Nurse Practitioner (NP) position with Interior Health. We are seeking a dynamic NP to join our team for a permanent part time (0.

50 FTE) position in Penticton, B.C.

The NP will join the inter-professional team at the Martin Street Clinic that provides services to clients with significant / severe mental health and / or substance use issues.

There are also a number of disciplines and programs who support the clients, including : life skills, street nursing, psychiatry, diabetes education, MH intake, and other case management programs.

The focus of this role will be to provide primary care to clients who have addictions issues (including those either on Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT) or who are candidates for OAT), and who have complex medical needs, including chronic non-

malignant pain. Patients may be unattached or attached to the clinic or other primary care providers or services and need more intensive care that can be best provided by the NP.

The majority of these clients will be attached to mental health services and require case management. The NP will provide primary care including addiction therapies and chronic non-cancer pain management.

Work site : Martin Street Clinic, 117-437 Martin Street, Penticton BC

Hours : 0.5 FTE. Currently clinic is open days Monday-Friday.

Hours to be determined with the NP to meet the needs of the clinic.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience :

  • Current registration and exam qualified as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC)
  • Successful completion of Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)
  • Recent, relevant clinical nursing experience
