Description of Duties / Scope of Work

ANALYSIS

  • Perform business analysis and evaluation regarding the goals for the projects and business objectives.
  • Research, gather, analyze and capture business requirements and specifications.
  • Research, gather, analyze and capture some technical requirements and specifications that clarify and extend the business requirements.
  • Develop Business Case and various project summary and justification documents
  • Develop functional and non-functional Requirements documentation
  • Develop business operations and systems support documentation including implementation and deployment planning, training, and system maintenance requirements.
  • PROCUREMENT

  • Develop Terms of Reference and Request For Proposal (RFP) documentation.
  • Assist in the review of proposals submitted by the vendors.
  • DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Develop detailed design documentation
  • Develop functional specifications
  • Develop technical specifications
  • Provide direction and support for the design process by verifying business requirements
  • IMPLEMENTATION AND DEPLOYMENT

  • Provide direction and co-ordination support to deployment and installation resources.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the test plan
  • Lead the development of Operational and System documentation
  • Provide training and support to operations resources
  • Develop project closeout documentation
  • OTHER

  • Collaborate with various project resources to develop Project Plans and Project Schedules; Project Budgets.
  • Complete various other project related documentation including Feasibility Studies, Current State and Concept of Operations documentation, Design documentation (specifications, screen prototypes, system interface specifications, report prototypes, data models, review programming standards.
  • Provide support to the quality assurance team to develop test cases, test scripts, and confirm business requirements.
  • Provide support to the quality assurance team for functional, integration, regression and user acceptance testing.
  • Develop user, operation, and system documentation to our client’s standards
  • Provide end user training
  • Various other related tasks as assigned. This may include temporary assignments to complete the same deliverables in other projects.
  • The candidate will be required for the Initiation, Planning, Design and Development, Implementation and Closeout Phases of the Projects.
  • Mandatory Skills / Certification

  • 5 + years of Business / Systems Analysis experience
  • Experience implementing kiosk solutions in the public domain
  • Experience in Processing Financial transactions certification processes and accounting principles
  • Other Skills / Certification

  • Experience with Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability Information Security Best Practices
  • Experience preparing RFI’s and RFP’s
  • Experience and understanding of issues of working with vendor for contracted services
  • Experience documenting business and system requirements
  • Well-developed communications and presentations skills
  • Good planning, organizing and leading skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
  • Usage of MS Project and other MS Office (Access, Excel, Word, and Power Point) is mandatory.
  • University / Community College degree in Computer Science / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with Primavera scheduling software or would be an asset.
  • Experience with inteGREAT or Team Foundation Server system development management software would be an asset.
  • Deliverables

  • Procurement documents as required by the Materials and Procurement process to issue and evaluate RFI and RFP.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budget documentation
  • Weekly project status reports
  • Detailed assessment of the current process / system
  • Feasibility study for the replacement of the current process / system
  • Functional and Non-functional Requirements
  • Provide direction and co-ordination support to team resources
  • Feasibility Studies and Business Case, project description and justification documentation
  • Current State, Concept of Operation, and Requirements documentation
  • Procurement Packages,
  • Design, Functional Specifications, Screen Prototypes, System Interface Specifications, Report Prototypes
  • Conceptual, Logical, Physical Data Models
  • Review programming specifications
  • Provide support to the quality assurance team to develop test cases and test scripts and confirm business requirements as required
  • Provide support to the quality assurance team for functional, integration, regression and user acceptance testing.
  • Develop User Documentation to our client’s standard.
  • Assist in the creation of Operation and System Documentation to our client’s standards
  • Provide support to and assist with user training during the Production Rollout
  • Project Closeout Documentation
