As the Strategy & Insights Marketing Lead you must create value through the delivery of Consumer & Shopper Insights and key trends, to drive breakthrough solutions for Danone Canada.
Your role is to uncover and educate the company on key trends, consumers Insights and solutions that will help built short, medium and long term strategies to drive growth for the organization.
This position reports directly to the Head of Portfolio Strategy, Innovation and Insights and has two managers and one analyst reporting into the position.
More specifically :
Identify key consumer Insights / Needs and trends to help build Category growth opportunities for Danone Canada.
Design ambitious, innovative and superior solutions to convert consumers at the moment of truth.
In close collaboration with our Marketing Directors, Senior Brand Managers and Brand Managers :
Built consumer research plans and lead consumer research projects in close collaboration with the Brand Marketing teams
Develop optimal solutions for brand communication, brand positioning, products (taste and packaging), portfolio, brand Innovation, and brand engagement
Propose relevant consumer research investment to the Marketing Leadership Team.
Outline and prioritize actions to improve consumer and shopper experience with our current and future products.
Fuel Danone strategy and tactics with Consumer insights, needs and key trends
Validate KPI’s in collaboration with Marketing Brand Directors.
Promote alignment between corporate direction, Sales and Marketing teams.
Manage and coach direct reports, recruit if necessary, and regularly assess the structure to meet business challenges.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and competencies :
University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Market Research, Sociology or any relevant field (MBA would be an asset)
7-10 years of marketing CPG experience
3-5 years in a similar function (market research agency or / and in client side)
Experience in using consumer market research tools and data (such as Ad testing, ad tracking, equity, packaging testing, taste testing, concept testing, U&A, qualitative research, secondary data, etc.)
Experience in using sales data base (such as Nielsen, Dunhummby etc)
Experience in project management
Experience leading people and teams
Business oriented, results and ROI oriented.
Strategic and Executional agility
Strong understanding of Consumers and Shoppers behaviour
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work in cross-functional teams
Curious about surrounding world and ability to think outside-the-box
