What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will be responsible for developing the deliverables and implementing them into an organized project plan.

You will be the single point of contact for the project. You will quickly learn the business objectives and project concepts and take the team and the deliverables through to successful completion.

You will develop the detailed work packages, schedules, budgets, identify the necessary resources and provide regular updates and communications to stakeholders / sponsors.

You will also oversee and manage each project deliverable including vendor related deliverables for quality and completion.

What will you do?

  • Facilitate joint planning with the client in the early stages of project formation
  • Integrate project plans at project level, creating estimating models as required, refine plan and manage performance against it
  • Manage project scope / requirements changes, multiple and competing demands and priorities determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk using appropriate fact-
  • based metrics / assumptions

  • Identify and manage overall project costs and budgets
  • Resolve issues and conflicts, remove barriers, and resolve minor project issues. Act as escalation point for potential conflicts between direction and project constraints
  • Through collaboration and persuasion direct stakeholders towards common objectives and goals
  • Conduct cross-functional lessons learned sessions to ensure action plans are developed, tracked, and implemented for any identified areas of improvement
  • Perform root-cause analysis, separating symptoms from causes, and work with appropriate teams / individuals to improve the current state, as required.
  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must have :

  • 8+ years’ experience in leading large scale, high visibility projects
  • Advanced knowledge of Project Management and PMO methodology
  • Managing teams of 15+ people within a matrix environment
  • Experience managing multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt and to adequately apply experience to new situations
  • FI / Digital experience
  • Nice to have :

  • Bachelor degree, MBA would be an asset
  • PMP & Scrum Master Certification - would be an asset
