We are looking to add a Human Resources Generalist to our team. This role will be responsible to engage in all aspects of HR from recruitment, training, performance management, discipline and safety.

This role supports 3 facilities, 2 in Windsor and 1 in Texas.

Position : Human Resources Generalist

Reports to : Divisional Human Resources Manager

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Support HR policy and procedure development, implementation and communication to ensure consistency and compliance across two manufacturing facilities and one services facility.
  • Actively recruit, interview and onboard new employees and continuously employ creative methods of attracting new talent to organization.
  • Assist in managing and administering employee benefits, pension and disability claims.
  • Develop relationships with local educational institutions (grade schools, high schools, colleges, universities) to promote as an employer of choice to attract and retain top up and coming talent
  • Coordinate, assist in the development, and implement workplace initiatives to increase safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Coordinate development and implementation of training programs to improve work force and maintain consistency within operations to meet overall corporate directives.
  • Coordinate and evaluate performance management and employee development processes including disciplinary activities.
  • Identify any potential litigation cases and bring to attention of management as necessary.
  • Implement and coordinate succession planning development actions as necessary.
  • Maintain and update regulatory compliance as required.
  • Support management team to maintain Health and Safety program and initiatives (WSIB, Safety Group)
  • Lead wellness activities within the division
  • Education / Experience

  • Degree or diploma (business preferred)
  • CHRP designation or in pursuit of
  • MOL JHSC level 1 and 2 certification
  • Experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience is preferred
