Maintain, review and analyze customer profile database to identify, categorize and prioritize customers based on product usage and service requirements.
Maintain effective working relationships with current customers while developing effective strategies to target and build potential customers.
Provide timely service as well as agronomic information and advice to current and potential customers.
Arrange customer educational opportunities as well as access to specialists that will benefit both the customer and organization.
Review and monitor competitor activities and trends within the market area and recommend marketing program and service revisions.
Review customer accounts to ensure that payments are within the approved credit policy and perform required collection functions.
Grade 12 or recognized equivalent as well as completion of Certificate in Agriculture, Agri-Business Certificate, or equivalent post-
secondary education (CCA or P.Ag. Accreditation an asset).
5 years of experience in vocational, agricultural, or a combination of education and work experience with demonstrated sales experience in agri-
business and / or other related customer service position.
Ability to interpret soil, tissue and water analysis and conduct research to respond to technical inquiries and initiate trials to support marketing efforts.
Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Valid class 5 driver’s licence and able to meet company security checks (criminal record check, drug / alcohol testing and Driving Record Abstract).
