    Position Description : Role Summary

    Role Summary

    We are presently recruiting for an Analyst (12-month contract) in the Investment Finance department.

    This Investment Finance role is primarily accountable for the ongoing day to day evaluation, accounting and monitoring of the Funds, Secondaries and Co-

    investments portfolio. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, transaction management, reporting, reconciling and resolving accounting entries, and regular interactions with internal business partners and external fund managers.

    Role-Specific Accountabilities

  • Enter trade tickets and accounting entries; ensure figures agree with transacted amounts and legal agreements, completeness of supporting documentation and appropriate authorizations are in place
  • Assist in the quarterly valuation review and ensure valuation adjustments are accurately recorded
  • Ensure timely completion and accuracy of various reports and reconciliations relating to benchmarking and portfolio holdings
  • Ensure process documentation is kept up to date
  • Identify issues and assist the Associate or Manager in determining corrective action; promptly escalate irregular activities or issues
  • Maintain an ongoing effective working relationship with internal investment staff and external fund managers to ensure issues are discussed and resolved, financial controls and reporting requirements are met
  • Ensure all investment agreements and documentation are complete and up to date
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with reporting requirements and resolve discrepancies when exceptions occur
  • Continually strive for operational excellence; seek ways to streamline processes and create operational efficiencies
  • Prioritize workload in a timely fashion to meet deadlines
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Position Requirements :

    If you possess the following, we’d like to hear from you :

  • Undergraduate Degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics or other related discipline
  • Professional designations such as a CBV, CFA, CMA are considered an asset
  • 1 to 3 years relevant work experience
  • Basic understanding of Private Equity
  • Strong analytical, financial and management accounting skills will be necessary to perform this role
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfortable learning new systems
  • Team player who enjoys working in a high performing culture and is open to evolving and changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high degree of professionalism
  • Solid prioritization and organizations skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Self-starter, flexible and adaptable
