The opportunity :
The brand content and editorial strategist will be responsible for aligning all company content with the corporate brand voice, tone and messaging.
This individual will develop, edit and review content across corporate channels to ensure high quality content that follows industry best practices and highlights the company brand.
This position requires a process-oriented self-starter with strong writing and creative skills as well as strict attention to detail and outstanding organizational abilities.
You are great at :
Ensuring all content maintains corporate brand voice guidelines to bring OpenText’s brand voice and message to life across all distribution channels
Working closely with design to develop and review creative asset requests from across the the organization including website content, marketing / sales collateral, email communications, social posts and video scripts
Supporting internal product marketing and corporate branding requests
Developing and creating original content, both proactively and as requested, to further brand goals
Assisting in defining and creating brand messages
Simplifying technical verbiage to create easy to understand assets
Collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organization
What it takes :
Excellent communication and writing skills
3-5 years of professional experience in content development or communications
Strong commitment to high quality communications, collateral and personal work ethic
Ability to write within established brand guidelines and adhere to parameters
Familiarity with all content types, including email and web copy, long form content and social media
Ability to work individually, as well as in a group setting
Ability to communicate complicated information in a clear, concise and actionable manner
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines, while maintaining strong attention to detail and adhering to department standards
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook
Excellent communications and cross functional collaboration skills
General understanding of and interest in technology
Strong understanding and familiarity with creative processes and techniques
Degree in communications, public relations or journalism a plus
