We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Technical Business Analyst (HRIS) to support Human Resources Information Systems and the associated interfaces with all systems.

Reporting to the Manager, Technology Services, the successful candidate is a forward thinking, innovative IT professional that is able to provide both technical analytical support for HRIS systems and business analytical support for the business the systems include : Success Factors, Kronos, CornerStone, Ceridian and Taleo.

In addition, he / she will support the implementation of other applications, including Enterprise Content Management systems that include confidential and sensitive information.

Key responsibilities include :

  • In collaboration with HR, developing, maintaining and upgrading all human resource system applications for the company
  • In collaboration with various departments, determining Enterprise Content Management strategy; implementing and maintaining required systems and processes
  • Based on Enterprise System plans of record and needs analysis, preparing associated business requirements specifications, designing, planning, testing and implementing modifications and enhancements to supported systems
  • Initiating and implementing upgrades of new modules to the system structure as necessary including changing or designing new tools / processes / work flow
  • Managing multiple, simultaneous projects, including scope definition and management; recommending process improvement, solutions and / or policy changes
  • Overseeing the day-to-day management of technology systems, which includes : incident review, change management, vendor management, relationship management and business unit support
  • Supporting all interfaces into and out of the supported systems including designing custom imports and exports as needed
  • Leading and facilitating troubleshooting efforts for all technical system issues; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
  • Process Analysis - analyzing business requirements and work flow processes related to supported systems and collaborating with department / program / subject matter experts to gather information and obtain an understanding of the processes, needs and requirements in order to support them
  • Documenting process workflows with an appropriate tool such as Visio
  • Designing and configuring reports, as needed
  • Ensuring issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
  • Managing performance of multiple vendors defining, negotiating and overseeing compliance of service level and license agreements
  • Building strong client relationships with business areas
  • Coaching and mentoring IT and business resources in hands-on technical skills, business analysis and project management
  • Maintaining compliance based on record retention guidelines
  • Maintaining high level of confidentiality and urgency
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Key qualifications include :

  • Five years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting Tier 1 Enterprise Systems (HRIS (Kronos and Success Factors) and / or Document Management (including SharePoint) experience preferred) and five years of senior level Business Analyst experience with a demonstrated ability in analyzing business requirements, building business cases, managing change and applying technology, supplemented by a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field;
  • or an equivalent combination of training and experience

  • Demonstrated strong technical expertise, including ability to write SQLs
  • Expert troubleshooting expertise, including both packaged software and integrations
  • Report development skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, team, negotiation and mediation skills including the ability to build effective client relationships and implement new / revised programs / products and services
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and credibility with external partners
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple activities of varying complexity while under time constraints
  • Strong project management skills, including proven on-time, on-budget delivery of medium scale projects
  • Strong organization, leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent documentation skills, including workflow documentation (Visio)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to safeguard confidential information
  • Experience building integrations, including use of Dell Boomi is nice to have
  • Experience with SQL and Oracle databases, and / or experience with web-service-based application development are assets
