The Opportunity :

Shutterstock is looking for an experienced Sales Director to run the US & CAN Corporate Sales team. This person will be responsible for helping to develop and execute new business opportunities through their Account Executives, as well as grow existing Enterprise and SMB accounts within the region with the dedicated Solutions Managers in their team.

The primary objectives of the Shutterstock Sales Director are to achieve revenue targets, retain and grow existing customers, grow market share within the segment, and attain net new customers.

The Sales Director should be focused on account ACV, deal volume and velocity, upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and account expansion.

Focused on expanding and growing the adoption of Shutterstock’s entire portfolio of content and products, the Sales Director must build and lead a high performing sales team to help customers understand and realize the full potential of the Shutterstock collection and products.

Responsibilities include :

  • Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the Enterprise sales department, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals
  • Manage a team of managers efficiently to drive the best possible strategy and processes and productivity
  • Manage the enterprise pipeline and ensure that the team has a sufficient pipeline to exceed revenue targets across all products but primarily images, footage, music, and custom photography
  • Have holistic ownership of the entire Corporate vertical in their region, including Enterprises and SMB
  • Through training and setting up clear processes and guidelines ensuring that the right solutions are pitched to all clients at the right time
  • Mentor and develop skill sets and strategic thinking of sales teams
  • Help to build C-level relationships with various departments of key clients (Marketing, PR, Brand, Procurement)
  • Be the ambassador and brand advocate of Shutterstock in the corporate segment in the region, regularly attend and represent our brand at industry events
  • Play an intricate role in the development of sales products based on long-term customer needs
  • Drive understanding and language addressing competitor strategies and strengths
  • Provide input on marketing, including demand gen, sales enablement, and customer-facing content strategies
  • Act as an expert voice within the organization for enterprise sales
  • Regular travel to Shutterstock markets as required.
  • Desired Skills & Experience :

  • 8+ years sales management experience preferably from a background in SaaS, media or emerging technology
  • Experience hiring, training and managing first line managers
  • Ability to analyze sales statistics to determine business growth potential
  • Proven track record of successful sales exceeding goals and quotas
  • Proven track record of building sales team strategy and managing budgets
  • Ability to access high-level decision makers and sell enterprise level solutions to large organizations
  • Ability to understand customer’s unique needs and the different business models to customize deals to present solutions
  • Possesses a strong belief in and passion for Shutterstock's market value and potential
  • Experience with satellite offices and remote management
