We are currently looking for Sr. ASIC Design Engineer. As a designer, he / she will be involved in all aspects of AMD's next generation Heterogeneous APU.

This includes designing logic to accelerate virtualization, improving I / O performance and optimize power consumption. The position allows exposure to all aspect of ASIC design stages, from RTL coding to verification and silicon bring up.

A strong Verilog language and problem solving skill is required. Good understanding of PCI Express and Computer Architecture is preferred.

Other technical knowledge such as C++, System Verilog, UVM, Perl, and OVL would be beneficial for testbench / simulation debug.


  • Designing RTL using verilog language
  • Documenting all the functional logic he / she designed
  • Optimizing area / timing / power
  • Analyzing Functional, Code, and Test Plan Coverage
  • Implementing Assertions and work closely with verification team on Checkers, and Monitors
  • Triaging and Debugging Regressions
  • Debug issue in real silicon platform
  • Conducting and participating in Code Reviews

  • Digital Design in RTL, Verilog HDL
  • Testbench Architecture, SystemVerilog, OVM / UVM / VMM
  • C / C++, Java or other object-oriented programming language
  • Perl, Ruby, Shell-scripting, UNIX / LINUX Environment
  • Synopsys tools, such as Design Compiler and VCS

  • PC System Architecture : PCI Express, x86, ARM, I / O virtualization
  • On-Chip Bus Interfaces and Architectures : AMBA AXI, OCP, PIPE

  • Master with at least 1-3 years or Bachelor with 3-5 years working experience in ASIC area
