Responsibilities

  • Undertake traffic analysis involving microsimulation modelling of different transportation facilities in support of environmental assessment studies;
  • transit impact studies; and transportation feasibility and needs studies;
  • Develop programing scripts to automate repetitive computational tasks and assist analysis of big datasets;
  • Drafting reports, presentations and other client deliverables;
  • Drafting proposals, including developing the methodology / approach for undertaking projects, as well as associated work Plans, schedules and budgets;
  • Communicate and work with other project team members to provide quality service to clients to ensure that all documentation conforms to client / company standards; and

    Other duties as assigned.

    Profile

  • Ph.D. or Masters’ Degree in Transportation Engineering;
  • Proficiency in AIMSUN or VISSIM and experience with EMME, TransCad, and Arcady are assets;
  • 2+ years of related work experience including experience while enrolled at a university;
  • Proficiency in programming using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Python, or Visual C++;
  • Familiarity with current standards and practices of the industry;
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills;
  • High degree of problem solving and decision making skills.
