Working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act. Competent in both PC and mainframe based computer environments and ideally have SAP experience Solid knowledge of Industry Standard Maintenance Practices and an understanding of the evolving maintenance practices and technological advancements.
Proven technical problem solving abilities providing both analysis and resolution. Must have excellent communication, organization and leadership skills, and can contribute in a dynamic team environment Responsibilities : Provide mechanical engineering expertise to ensure equipment reliability and capability meet established annual department targets Develop preventative and predictive maintenance programs based upon industry best practices.
Collaborate with others (internal / external) to ensure resolution of equipment problems, implementing new systems and major design revisions.
Utilize and enhancement the Maintenance Management System and Quality Assurance systems. Provide solutions for recurring or high cost equipment and process issues requiring technical resources.
Respond to breakdown situations when required. Direct trades personnel during major repairs and rebuilds as required. Develop and co-
ordinate critical path / repair schedules for major outages. Assist in establishing technical standards of work performance, specifications and tolerances for equipment rebuilds and upgrades and machinery repairs.
Successful candidate may be required to replace FLS as required.
