Reporting to the Manager of Finance, the successful candidate will be a key member of the Consulting line of business. The successful candidate must be able to learn quickly and demonstrate potential to take on increasing levels of responsibility and autonomy.
This position requires an individual who has strong analytical ability, a fundamental accounting background and excellent written and oral communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and most importantly will be a good fit with the team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Ensure all month end close reporting activities are completed with accuracy and on time according to schedule
Perform detailed variance analysis on all business unit P&Ls and related reports ensuring financial performance is accurately represented
Implement accounting solutions and recommendations according to Senior Finance Management requirements related to maintaining the financial integrity of the business
Work directly with Operations through leveraging operational data regarding transactional activities
Build financial reports and models to assist with financial analysis
Participate in continuous process improvement and optimization initiatives and best practices
Collaborate across the organization including other teams within finance and the Consulting business to resolve issues
Execute required changes to business structure and reports / processes / dashboards related to acquisitions
Assist in the budget process with the consolidation and distribution of budget templates for multiple business units
Assist with handling of audit requests as determined by External Reporting team
Ensure internal controls for financial reporting are being met according to established guidelines
Assist in various ad-hoc projects as required
Qualifications / Requirements :
Undergraduate degree in business, accounting or finance
CPA designation preferred
Must be fluently bilingual French / English
2 to 4 years of experience required in a financial analyst or similar role
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
Advanced Excel and other Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Advocate for continuous process improvement and optimization
Ability to work under tight deadlines with an ability manage multiple competing priorities and be flexible and resilient
Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system is considered an asset
Strong work ethic and ensures high quality outcomes are achieved
Ability to work autonomously
