Your Pet, Our Passion® Position Summary This position is responsible for analyzing statistical market and shopper data to identify business issues and opportunities, and provide recommendations and insight for the MDO team. Major Responsibilities
Accountable for managing Nielsen data and internal databases ensuring the integrity of the data : Build, develop and responsible for the PetCentral site which provides statistical market and shopper data that is utilized by all of Generating Demand Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of Nielsen databases Manages the allocation of Purina and competitive category items into the proper segments Adheres to quality control of data ensuring consistency of reporting and format
Develop a loyalty data strategy to deliver insights to the organization from Customer Loyalty systems
Develop a POS and Data strategy to build efficiency and effectiveness with our data across the organization
Responsible to leading the 3rd party information partnership
Participates in the development and implementation of 4 P Plans for the MDO team : Leverages 4 P tools to develop actionable insights and recommendations on category performance, assortment optimization, pricing and promotion best practice Supports the development, validation, cataloging and communication of best practice assortment, pricing and promotion Provides super user guidance on pricing and promotion best practices and tools Responds to key issues / opportunities with insights to answer category needs Develop and present category reviews on an annual, quarterly and monthly basis to the MDO Assist in the Pre and Post Implementation analysis of all category development projects
Participates in the development and implementation of Integrated Commercial Business Planning (ICBP) for major accounts : Provide insight validation to the identified shopper opportunities and path to purchase drivers by account Development and present business / category reviews on an annual, quarterly and monthly basis Recommends analysis and solutions to customer teams with a focus on optimized product assortment, promotion and pricing Provides relevant information for all new product account presentations by customer Assist in the Pre and Post Implementation analysis of all category development projects
University Degree in Marketing Research and / or Business
3-5 years of consumer research experience, preferably some on the client side
Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research, as well as knowledge of the research supplier community in Canada
At least 3 years progressive data analysis experience
Knowledge and experience using Nielsen database
Strong time management, analytical, oral and written communication skills, detail oriented, ability to conduct follow-
up and be a strong team player
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced environment
Bilingual in English and French an asset
