The Trainer (Mill Practical) reports to the Mill Training Coordinator.

Key Tasks :

Conducting training needs analysis

Developing, designing, and delivering training programs

Evaluating departmental training programs, monitoring employee performance and training results

Skills :

  • Experience working in a mining / industrial environment is preferred
  • Superior interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills are essential
  • Experience in the operation of mobile equipment

    Ability to present existing and new training materials to employees in a classroom and on-the-job setting

  • Superior computer skills are required, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Demonstrate positive safety behaviour and safety leadership

  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training
  • Qualifications :

  • Must possess a Grade 12 or equivalent, with a technical or operating background
  • Previous supervisory experience would be an asset
  • Must possess a good knowledge of mill operation and maintenance techniques
