What is the opportunity?
The Senior Technical Systems Analyst role is responsible for providing global support for the procurement and deployment of the RBC Distributed Hosting Services (DHS) environment.
The Sr TSA is a single point of contact for RBC’s internal business and technical partners to facilitate, manage, and expedite the requests of RBC servers
What will you do?
Server Consultation and Deployment
Provide concierge service to clients / stakeholders to deliver a safe and secure solution in a timely manner
Influence alternative technologies that provide more compute at a lower footprint or cost
Planning and Implementation
Attend planning and implementation meetings to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Identify and prioritize critical business initiatives with additional time for any delays that may be incurred
Liaise with vendors to provide alternative solutions that meet project requirements outside the existing infrastructure
Training / Personal Development & Documentation
Participate in cross training initiatives and provide input to training programs
Maintain operational knowledge of the tools and technologies
Utilize opportunities to educate / train team based on real time occurrences
College Degree in Computer Science / Business or a related field or Equivalent years of experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate with people in a wide variety of areas and at various levels
5-7 years of relevant experience in Technical Analysis
Maintain a strong understanding of relevant technology products and services in the marketplace
Manage a varied, unpredictable workload, while interacting with a team of specialists providing support to various projects.
Understanding of Incident and Change Management
Ability to learn and absorb quickly new concepts (in tools and systems), apply new knowledge as appropriate and transfer knowledge to others
Strong ability to manage expectations with team, management and clients, and deliver on them
Preferred Skills :
Windows / UNIX Server Operating Systems
Knowledge of RBC Infrastructure
Knowledge of ITIL
Knowledge of Lean Six-Sigma
Hosting Components (Servers, Mainframes, Storage, Databases, etc)
