YOU have strong attention to detail with superb organizational skills. You have a min of 1 year experience working within a finance / tax department or a similar role.
YOU are legally eligible to work in Canada and have a degree preferably in Accounting / Finance or Taxation. You are Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word, experience in a SAP environment would be an asset.
THE OPPORTUNITY The Finance department provides world-class expertise in managing the company’s financials to maximize long-
term earnings, cash flow and shareholder return. In this role YOU will act as a support staff in the Tax department to assist with administration of compliance tasks involving all tax requirements.
This may include but not limited to following up and handling payments to submit to the authorities, liaise with the regional foreign trade team to ensure all customs declaration process, and provide support / back-
up in the department when required. YOU will liaise and establish communication channels with the Regional Foreign Trade team and the third party service provider to assist with administration of customs declaration process.
YOU will assist with reviewing monthly tax reports and provide a support / back function in preparing some tobacco tax returns, prepare monthly reconciliation, and assist with coding certain invoices for tax accounts, reading and organizing new contracts / retention of tax files.
