Production Supervisor - Meat Processing
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Manage a team of processors
Work closely with management and human resources team to strive towards people and production improvement and development
Able to assure accuracy of the finished product
Able to meet daily production goals in a safe and timely manner
Ensuring that product is of high quality standards
Maintaining high sanitation standards
Understanding and following CFIA regulations and requirements
Manage and supervise the shift, participating in all disciplinary actions, and following up with HR about documentations as necessary
Safeguard production operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Maintain physical conditions of productions room by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment;
issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Achieves financial objectives by working with operations management by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures;
analyzing variances; initiation corrective actions.
Completes productions operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
Maintains production staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees.
Participles in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.
Establish and maintain designated work areas as needed, ensure orderly and safe conditions at all times.
Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely shipping of all orders.
Recommend tools, fixtures, and equipment or layout changes to improve work flow and productivity.
Cultivate and maintain a professional relationship with the rest of the team based on respect, fairness and teamwork.
Perform other duties as required by the nature of the position or as requested by upper management.

Knowledge of and demonstrated success in implementing best practices in warehousing, with a focus on receiving and inventory control.
Ability to analyze and report on data to management in a clear, concise manner.

Proficiency with computer systems (Outlook, MS Excel)
Demonstrated competency at developing and evaluating employees to achieve company objectives
Experience with process improvement and knowledge of best practices within receiving and inventory control
Ability to motivate, influence, communicate and engage staff in all the company objective
