This role (ACRM Officer) reports to the AMLCO. The strategic intent of the role is to ensure that all business areas meet their AML / CTF and sanctions, regulatory and policy obligations.

The role focusses the GCB business but will also support the Institutional business where required. The role provides support across all business with regard to International Fund Transfer Instructions (IFTIs) and Threshold Transaction Report (TTR) obligations.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Provide advice, interpretation on the application of AML / CTF legislation and relevant AML policy;
  • Provide advice, interpretation on the reporting requirements (IFTI and TTR)
  • Contribute to AML regulatory reporting related projects as subject matter expert;
  • Complete Know Your Customer (KYC) and due diligence client reviews
  • Identify, investigate and escalate AML issues, red flags and policy exceptions and assure that senior management are fully informed of significant AML issues on a timely basis;
  • Review AML / CTF training decks and provide training to business;
  • Provide advice where required on any AML risk scoring methodologies adopted by the business.
  • Conduct MCA (Management Control Assessment) testing on all AML Compliance functions as allocated;
  • Manage the AML / CTF Departmental Control Functional Checklist and ensure that all items listed are completed as required.
  • Results are to be communicated to senior management accordingly;
  • Perform QA (quality assurance) monthly on AML processes;
  • Review and validate AML / CTF metrics that are submitted locally and regionally;
  • Ensure global and regional office requests are responded to within stipulated timeframes.

  • Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting (IFTI and TTR) within Australia; including knowledge of the schema formats

  • Education :

  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Description of minimum work experience required for this role :

  • Minimum 2 years proven experience in Financial Crime, regulatory reporting or financial services compliance function;
  • Experience in identifying risks and providing advice to business
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships
