Our Equipment Finance Group is a team of specialized individuals who know heavy equipment industries inside and out. We are not office dwellers -

our team members often start the day in a branch and end the day on-site with our clients. We are out in the community every day speaking directly with clients, and not one day is the same as the last.

Our Portfolio Managers are responsible for the day-to-day management and depth of client relationships for very active, large and / or strategic accounts with attributes of recurring flow business and / or intensive account management requirements.

  • Targeted growth in franchised client relationships is achieved through anchoring strong relationships and facilitating collaboration, cross selling and shared relationships that result in successful business referrals within and across the EFG team &
  • CWB’s commercial and retail branches.

    What we need from you :

  • Financial and marketing knowledge of local markets and national economies built on a foundation of formal education (degree) and real life experience ( 2+ years of financial management experience with proven analytical and risk management skills)
  • Exceptional relationship management skills to grow and manage a profitable portfolio of business within specialized equipment financing and leasing markets
  • Aptitude and capability to develop effective risk management skills for large and complex financial services transactions in the equipment finance and / or large-ticket leasing space
  • Experienced in the development and implementation of effective sales plans
  • Demonstrated capabilities in business development, relationship management and needs-based selling.
  • Well-developed risk management skills for large and complex financial services transactions in the equipment finance and / or large-ticket leasing space
  • Commitment to working within and contributing to continuous improvement of defined sales and performance management processes
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with an impressive history of forging strong relationships with people of all backgrounds, at all levels and with different vested interests
  • Possesses an entrepreneurial flair with well-developed business instincts
  • A passionate commitment to delivering client focused service and solutions rooted in professional integrity and respect for compliance regulation.
  • Desire to identify, direct, receive and act on appropriate business referrals among other specialist groups within CWB Financial Group (e.
  • g. commercial, personal banking, wealth management) to deepen client relationships that both grow and diversify earnings for CWB Financial Group

  • How you will spend your time :

  • Accountable for attainment of individual sales and performance measures, including targeted goals for profitable loan growth, maintenance of assigned client relationships and internal business referrals required to grow more franchised clients
  • Accountable to identify and close new sales opportunities with existing clients and generate new sales leads / referrals for the regional business development team through proactive relationship management activities, highly responsive client service, and expert-
  • level knowledge and advice on equipment financing solutions

  • Work within defined operating rhythms to manage activities and achieve sales targets while maintaining open communications and strong levels of personal accountability
  • Foster close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure EFG is delivering value-added services that are recognized and rewarded through growth in loans, net new clients and products per client
  • Accountable to source and develop franchised client relationships through strong partnerships and collaboration with specialist teams across the regional branch network
  • Actively and publicly represent CWB Equipment Finance in the marketplace
  • Use customer relationship management tools to facilitate effective performance planning and activity reporting, business forecasting, target-
  • setting and sales process optimizationEnsure strong data integrity and consistent use of sales tools

  • Ensure business growth and profitability achievements are consistent with EFG’s targeted credit quality thresholds and risk appetite
  • Contribute to development of individual sales budgets and ensure expenses are effectively managed within established budget thresholds
  • Act as a champion and role model for Organizational Change Management (OCM)
  • Inspire trust by being open, honest and direct in communication, meeting commitments and behaving ethically in all dealings
  • Treat all stakeholders with professionalism, dignity and respect, and support an environment where all team members can contribute, excel and continuously develop their skills
