The Vernon Health Centre is looking for a Casual Administrative Assistant Communicable Disease Program Support to join their team! If you hold an Office Administration Certificate, plus one year's recent experience, a current Typing Test 45 wpm or greater and a current valid BC Driver's license....Apply today!
This position performs administrative support functions related to the reporting of communicable disease such as :
Maintains data management software programs for Population Health programs;
Regular office and reception duties : Data entry, gathering, organizing, collecting, collating and verifying information, types correspondence, prepares presentations, arranges meeting, types agendas, takes and transcribes minutes, books travel, answers telephones, receives and relays messages, receives and directs visitors, receives, sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing correspondence; records management;
Performs general timekeeping functions;
Initiates purchases via purchase card or purchase orders for supplies and checks invoices against orders;
Operates office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, printers, fax machines and shredders.
Hours of work : Monday to Friday 08 : 00 to 16 : 30 hours
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week.

Education, Training and Experience :
Certificate from a recognized Office Administration Certificate Program, Plus
One year recent related experience, Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Completion of a Typing Test at 45 wpm dated within the past 24 months and must be issued from a valid institution only.

Current valid BC Driver's License
