As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse coordinates and evaluates patient care, and provides nursing care according to the CAU job description, standards of practice for Registered Nurses and the core values at Hamilton Health Sciences.

Schedule Work HoursMonday to Friday days / evenings


1. Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse

2. Minimum 3 years of recent EP Lab experience (within the last 5 years), working with device implants, EP Studies, and advanced cardiac mapping

3. Recent experience in peri-operative nursing (within the last 3 years), including assisting with the insertion of arrhythmia devices and moderate sedation

4. Recent experience in Cardiac Critical Care nursing assessment and management (within the last 2 years), including airway management, invasive cardiac monitoring, invasive pressure line monitoring, ventilation, IV access, venipuncture, defibrillation, and pacemakers

5. Recent 2 years experience (within the last 2 years) in and successful completion of ECG interpretation / treatment

6. Current BCLS certification, ACLS certification

7. Demonstrated knowledge of Arrhythmia patient population, EP procedures, and their implications for nursing practice

8. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high , rapid patient turnover environment

9. Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care

10. Ability to wear a lead apron for extended periods of time

11. Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills

12. Evidence of commitment to professional practice and life long learning
