oriented security professional to fill the role of . Our next Security Manager will be responsible for providing effective management and the implementation of security initiatives, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures, motivating and leading by example and providing a learning environment for all employees.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Providing leadership, direction and mentoring to the security operation on a shift basis as well as providing input for employee performance objectives and evaluations
  • Providing superior customer service satisfaction to all guests
  • Mentors, coaches and trains front line security staff
  • Assisting with the implementation of security strategic plans as directed
  • Responding to, resolving and escalating security issues as required; providing de-briefing on critical incidents
  • Reviewing inspection reports, taking appropriate action and escalating as required
  • Supporting the administration of access / key control systems
  • Conducting training for security operations; recommending training opportunities and efficiencies
  • Assisting with internal investigations by providing documentation, interviews, etc. as directed
  • Enrolls guests in the Self-Exclusion Program
  • Conducts regular patrols of the entire property as directed; identifies risks and conditions that present safety issues
  • Providing or assisting with First Aid for team members and guests
  • Monitoring, documenting and preparing statements / reports on violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities
  • Escorting guests and team members or assigning escort duties as required
  • Oversees crowd control for special events
  • Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders : team members, guests and owners
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Post-Secondary education or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience in gaming security
  • Minimum 3 year of recent supervisory experience
  • Minimum 6 months employment with Great Canadian Casinos
  • Must be willing to recertify every 3 years for Use of Force
  • Occupational First Aid level 2 an asset
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Ability to provide leadership in a team environment
  • Ability to exceed internal and external guest expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • Possess a high level of honestly and integrity
