Description : Develops and formalizes integrated baseline project management plans : team charters, work and organizational breakdown structures, quality planning, change management process and project closure, to ensure controls are in place throughout project life cycle.

Develops project plan for major projects, in accordance with accepted project management principles based on Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

Compiles data from projections and business plans to enable forecasting related to space plan. Develops multiple complex scopes, schedule, budget and provide status reviews.

Develops and communicates proposals to stakeholders. Conducts business scenarios to develop proposals and plans. Creates short-

and long-term business goals by conducting strategic and tactical planning activities. Applies current real estate concepts, practices and standards.

Implements due diligence activities and provides solutions to a variety of development project issues.

Competencies :

  • Must be proficient in MS Office based applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Prefer proficiency in MS Project applications and AutoCAD.
  • Must have full working level knowledge and experience in project management.
  • Must have complete knowledge of Project Management theory, concepts and principles (e.g., integrated planning and schedule process, work breakdown structure, and baseline management).
  • Must have complete ability to create comprehensive project schedules which identify time frames for key project milestones, direct and manage more complex project schedules, independently identify project resource requirements, collaborate with others on more complex projects assigned, and assist others in complex large scale projects.
  • Should have well-developed facilitative, communication, problem-solving, organizational and team-building skills.
  • Education / Experience

  • Must have a Canadian high school diploma or recognized equivalence.
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred 3 or more years’ experience in facilities and / or manufacturing environment.
  • Prefer completion of, or enrollment towards Project Management Professional designation.
  • Prefer experience in dealing with contractor labour relative to scope, schedule and budget development and management.
