The APS Shared Functions Team is part of the Information Technology Group which works simultaneously on a wide range of projects arising from business, strategic initiatives, regulatory changes and reengineering of existing applications to improve functionality and efficiency.
The APS Shared Functions Internal Controls Analyst will report directly to the Internal Controls and Reporting Lead. The candidate must possess a management and ITIL background capable of driving critical initiatives within the Internal Controls team including : the design and formalization of the APS policy management and recertification framework, continuous improvement initiatives and KPI quality review / expansion, operational risk and control assessments, IT continuity governance and reporting.
In addition to driving these initiatives, the candidate must have experience working within an onshore / offshore support model as the candidate will have operational oversight over offshore resources.
As Internal Controls is a key governance function, the role requires a strong background in working with strict audit, operational control and regulatory considerations.
The candidate must also be able to work autonomously within the team, be able to turn a plan into action quickly, motivate staff that does not report to them, and have the ability to drive initiatives independently, proactively escalate risks and possess good presentation creation skills.
