The Environmental Science Program at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to co-teach the following course during the Fall 2018 Session.
The field component of the course runs from August 27 through September 5, 2018 with assignments due throughout the term.
The appointment is for a four-month term, beginning September 1, 2018 and concluding on December 31, 2018.
Environmental Science 501 examines various issues where human activity affects an ecosystem or where society is trying to mitigate harmful impacts on the environment.
It is essential that the successful candidate have a multidisciplinary PhD in a science discipline with field work and teaching experience, as well as a working knowledge of statistical tests (preferably R).
The candidate must be flexible, reliable and student oriented with excellent written and oral communication skills. It is desirable (but not mandatory) that the candidate have a valid driver’s license and first aid certification.
