Mission

Our Environment and Urban Planning team is currently looking for a Junior Urban Planner for its offices in Gatineau and Ottawa.

The role consists mainly in assisting the team in the various steps required to complete mandates.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze urban plans, plans and regulations;
  • Assess compliance with various regulations;
  • Obtain municipal and provincial approvals;
  • Develop planning concepts and site plans for real estate developments;
  • Prepare the necessary documents for the planning and execution of projects, studies, preliminary estimates, technical plans and specifications, site plans, sketches and other documents related to urban planning according to the methodology and standards of the company;
  • Participate in the drafting of regulatory amendments, plans, urban plans and land use and site planning studies;
  • Conduct concordance file studies and regulatory research;
  • Perform required analysis and surveys;
  • Write reports and analysis;
  • Assist project managers;
  • Perform research, coordination, follow-ups (products, suppliers, stakeholders, etc ...);
  • Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team of CIMA +.

    Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in urban planning or master's degree in urban planning;
  • 0 to 3 years of experience;
  • Member of the OUQ or RPP, or be eligible to become one;
  • Mastery of Québec's legislative framework for urban planning and land use planning;
  • Knowledge of Ontario's legislative framework for planning is an asset;
  • Knowledge of the municipal environment;
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Possess a valid driver's license;
  • Dynamism, attention to detail and rigor;
  • Ability to analyze and summarize;
  • Resourcefulness and professionalism;
  • Strong skills for written communications and report writing.
