Our client is an international organization with headquarters in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, US divisions in Portland, Maine, and Nashville, Tennessee, as well as offices in Europe.

As a Project Manager, you have mastered the art and the science of project planning. You have extensive experience with WBS and critical path management, and you can work in an agile environment.

You like to work in a collaborative and challenging environment and your communication skills are one of your top skills! You can confront and animate ideas and exchanges, and you can execute once a decision has been reached.

What will you be working on?

  • Delivering the assigned project according to the signed Request for Proposal (RFP) Maintaining release scope according to RFP and product roadmaps
  • Coordinating project deliveries and maintaining an up-to-date delivery plan
  • Making decisions (when within boundaries) or escalating situations to the appropriate stakeholders and providing project direction
  • Maintaining the overall project schedule from kick-off to delivery o Managing project activities and monitoring execution of the planned activities and change requests o Managing interdependencies
  • Providing project status / progress reports, internally and externally, including executive summaries
  • Assessing resources (i.e. needs, capacity, usage, projection) and creating an environment that fosters employee engagement and teamwork
  • Managing stakeholder expectations
  • Escalating issues and dealing with project related challenges
  • Monitoring and managing project risks
  • Escalating issues and dealing with project related challenges
  • Communicating with functional managers, development managers and team leaders
  • Generating finance related updates and payment milestones tracking
  • Contributing to refinement of project management processes and PMO topics
  • Engaging with the other teams and functional managers to understand project situations / risks and identifying alternatives
  • Managing tactical issues by ensuring fluid communication between the customer, Project Control Officer, Functional Managers, Product & Solution Team, Customer Engagement Team, with Project Delivery peers and internal executives
  • Ensuring team adherence to delivery processes (i.e. SDLC, COTS)
  • Participating in industry related forums to keep PM knowledge current
  • Maintaining project management credentials (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Certified Scrum Master, etc.)
  • Liaising with third-party vendors to support integration with other applications / systems
  • Nurturing a strong partnership with the customer
  • You will be successful here if you have :

  • Experience working on the delivery of major projects obtained by public tender
  • Experience deploying an integrated management system within large organizations (ERP)
  • Having worked in software publishing
  • Having worked with American or European public agencies
  • Being comfortable working in a strong matrix organization and an Agile approach
  • Mastery in creating a project plan and notions of critical path, load plan and task dependencies
  • Rigorous work ethic
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Outstanding communication in English
  • Excellent coordinator and facilitator
  • Transparent and effective communication style
  • PMP certification is an asset
  • Exceptional ability to work with cross-functional teams to build partnerships and get things done
  • Fluency in French and English is required
