We are currently seeking resumes from qualified candidates with a background in Construction Safety Training, who are looking for a challenging and rewarding position within our organization as a Safety Training Instructor.
The chosen candidate must have excellent communication skills, client relation and computer skills with the willingness to manage all training programs;
updating the programs based on any new MOL requirements, or updates to the OH&S Regulations.
Knowledge of the OHS Act and Regulations
Training experience with :
Working at Heights Fundamentals of Fall Protection; WHMIS; Aerial Equipment; Confined Space etc. (must maintain valid and up-
to-date certification at all times). Certified First Aid / CPR / AED trainer is an asset
Minimum 5-years experience in this position or similar
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent teamwork and team building skills
Proficient with computer and mobile applications
Be able to work within a team environment as well as work without supervision
Self-starter that exhibits a high level of initiative and resourcefulness
Ability to alter schedule, direction, and / or tasks for the benefit of the project, client or company with a professional and pleasant attitude
SDS will provide train the trainer on the SDS Working at Heights - Fundamentals of Fall Protection program to the successful candidate in order to meet the requirements of the Working at Heights standard.
Special Working Conditions :
In-office training; travelling to and from on-site training; flexible schedule as times may vary. Drivers abstract required for use of company vehicle.
