We are currently seeking a hands-on Culinary professional who works in support of team goals and measures effectiveness through both F&B profit and service performance of the resort, to join crew.
Our Chef de Partie is responsible for assisting in food preparation, production and control for all food outlets (primary focus) and banquet facilities.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to) :
Follow the leadership of the Chef de Cuisine / Banquet Chef, providing top quality a product that meets and exceeds guests’ expectations
Produce the orders for our culinary facility in timely and efficient manner
Prepare, plan and set up of the main kitchen, having all mise en place according to prep list
Maintain and promote a safe and clean work environment
Prepare and cook all menus according to standards, within the established time guidelines
Supervise and coach culinary crew
Maintain schedule for proper coverage and productivity
Conduct shift briefings, menu briefings and maintain communication lines between all parties
Train, motivate and supervise a diverse group of culinary professionals
Prepare, organize and execute all available menus
Practice OHS, WHMIS, Food Handling procedures
Assist with Employee Relations as required
Other duties as assigned by management
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
Diploma or equivalent from an accredited culinary program
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar environment
Excellent knowledge of Hot Line, Restaurant and Banquet production
Excellent knowledge of kitchen safety standards and procedures
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office
Eager to achieve and promote high standards
Journeymen’s Papers / Registered Apprentice would be an asset
Red Seal Certification would considered an asset
Physically capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods of time
Positive attitude & team player a must
Willingness to learn and take on multiple tasks
Ability to show initiative and handle problems without guidance
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
