JOB SUMMARY

The Furniture Account Manager will have responsibility of the commercial development, sales and management of strategic National or Regional Account's for our furniture products along with customer satisfaction.

This position has the responsibility to deliver the required sales to ensure the overall sales volume and profitability is achieved.

This position collaborates with Management, Marketing, and Operations leaders to ensure adequate commercial product and service initiatives and promotions meet account sales and profit goals.

In addition this position is responsible for the strategic account planning, execution, evaluation, financial management (pricing) and presentation to key account(s).

Drive Sales

  • Build and manage key customer relationships in the assigned account(s).
  • Create and ensure the successful execution of a strategic key account plan for achieving incremental profitable sales growth, new business development, and innovative solutions through customer maximizing customer relationships.
  • Leads a Key Account Support Team of internal cross-functional members (marketing, customer service, finance, supply chain) to develop optimal and actionable strategies, concepts and tactics for sales development and customer relationships management.
  • Develop and deliver key customer business reviews
  • Manage Key Account sales forecast
  • Develop and present business opportunities for other SA product lines.
  • Provide regular feedback, reports and analyses on assigned key account(s) along with industry trends and competitive information.
  • Develop pricing strategies with assistance of management to maximize profit and effective asset utilization.
  • Planning

  • Researches, contacts, qualifies, prepares and presents packaged solutions to acquire new accounts.
  • Works with OP strategic sales team to develop target account lists.
  • Administration

  • Develop and regularly maintain an ongoing 180 day funnel within SFDC.
  • Develops annual business plan for territory; targeting verticals, markets or specific customers.
  • Provides weekly and monthly updates on account development progress to management.
  • Travel

    Required to travel to customer by car.

    Manufacturer show room visits maybe a required.

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience managing large project and installations
  • Experience working with Fortune 1000 and large multi-divisional companies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and multiple customers simultaneously
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering professional sales presentations
  • Demonstrates ability to focus on new business development initiatives where sales focus within existing customers will not be assigned
  • Technically proficient with Microsoft office and Internet with ability to learn required vendor furniture systems and case goods
  • Ability to take measurements of customers space and provide solutions
  • Strong understanding of manufacturers products and their application
  • A proven self-starter
  • Ability to manage to P&Ls
  • Experience

    Minimum of five (5) years of experience in outside sales prospecting new business

    Minimum of two (2) years of experience in facilitating collaborative meetings to develop strategic working relationships with one or more of the following audiences CEO, CFO, Board of Directors, Facility Managers, Building Officials, Procurement Managers, Architects, Designers and Building Contractors

    Education

    Post-secondary Education in Sales, Marketing or Business or equivalent level of experience
