The Customer Service Advocate will be part of our Digital Customer Service team and play a key role in being a liaison between customers and receiving agents.

The Customer Service Advocate reports directly to the Digital Customer Service Supervisor and is primarily responsible for providing professional individualized customer service by telephone, email, and social media.

  • Handle customer inquiries regarding transactions for Ria’s products and services
  • Build the interest of customers by sharing information about Ria’s products and services
  • Assist customers in locating an agent in their local area
  • Analyze the customer’s problems properly and provide solutions
  • Ensuring customer verification protocol is followed
  • Determine the root of complaints, concerns or issues and propose solutions for enhancements
  • Update customer’s profiles with changes or modifications within Ria’s database (i.e. address, phone number, beneficiaries, etc.)
  • Provide feedback regularly on the effectiveness and soundness of policies and procedures of the Call Center department to the Manager and / or Supervisor
  • Facilitate collected competitive information to monitor business opportunities and trends
  • Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED, completed College course work preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Spanish
  • At least one year of customer service experience in a call center
  • Ability to handle calls, emails, and social media inquiries promptly and efficiently
  • The key characteristics this individual must possess are excellent interpersonal skills and great phone etiquette
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Possess a professional and courteous demeanor
  • Primarily sedentary work in a general office environment
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
