Job Summary

Provide resident engineering services to projects either individually or as part of a larger project team. Services may include :

Construction supervision and inspections

Topographic and construction surveying

Measuring and tracking quantities

Calculating grades, volumes, distances, etc.

Compiling reports

Drafting and design of various civil and water resources projects

Ensuring the projects needs are met in a timely and effective manner

Working with and maintaining a positive relationship with clients and contractors

Work in both office and field settings

Field assignments may involve travel, shift work, and long hours pre-established standards on items such as text styles, blocks, linetypes, etc.

Minimum Requirements

Graduate of a Civil based engineering or technology program.

Experience working in the engineering or construction sectors.

Accuracy with details and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

Familiar with materials testing procedures and construction coordination services

Preferred Qualifications

Experience collecting preliminary survey data using GPS, Total Station, and / or conventional survey equipment is preferred

Experience performing construction layout surveys is an asset

Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is desired.

Sound understanding of drawing layouts using pre-established standards on items such as text styles, blocks, linetypes, etc.
