As aJazz Ramp Attendant, you will be shown all the aspects of ensuring safe and ontime arrival and departures of aircraft in our station.

In the course of a day,you will be responsible for marshaling aircraft in and out of their park spots,loading and unloading baggage and cargo for our customers, and providingdetailed communications to our pilots on board the aircraft.

You must be flexibleand be able to work as part of a team. This is a safety critical position,requiring strict adherence to our operating procedures while driving andworking around aircraft.

Jazz is primarily an Express carrier for Air Canada,however we may also be tasked with other airline operations and their needs.

Key Responsibilities :

Reporting to the Manager, Customer Service, the incumbentwill be responsible for the following :

  • Aircraft marshaling.
  • Loading & unloading disabled passengers.
  • Interior and exterior aircraft cleaning.
  • Operating ground vehicles as required.
  • Loading and unloading of baggage and freight.
  • Transferring & distribution of baggage.
  • Preparation of load advice forms.
  • Servicing of aircraft lavs as required.
  • Handling commissary supplies.
  • De-icing of aircraft.
  • Push backs.
  • Tie down & general security of aircraft.
  • Process the shipment of all freight and, takecargo to and from the aircraft and initiate claims resulting from missing anddamaged cargo.
  • Follow and understand S.O.P. as defined in RampHandling Manual.
  • Complete job description in collectiveagreement.
  • Perform duties in accordance with establishedpolicies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety,and the safety of co-workers and customers.
  • Otherrelated duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications :

  • Candidate must possess a high school diploma orequivalent.
  • Candidates will be bondable and possess a validdriver's license.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate ground vehicleequipment.
  • Possess strong organizational skills and theability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Preference will be given to applicants withprevious ramp experience.
  • Note : Bilingualism (English and French) is required for all stations in the province of Quebec.
