Part Time Gambling Information Advisor (GameSense)


This is an exciting role within a Casino Environment where you will use your strong customer service background, verbal communication and interpersonal skills to respond to client inquiries and requests for GameSense Info Centre.

In providing this support you will :

  • Educate casino guests regarding the three core concepts of gambling to encourage safe play and prevent problem play and over expenditure.
  • Assesses the needs of visitor to determine appropriate course of action.
  • Deliver problem gambling staff training to casino staff as required at all levels
  • Plan appropriate intervention strategies for guests exhibiting problem gambling behaviors by consulting with casino staff and other appropriate professionals
  • Assist any individuals who phone or visit the casino with concerns about a family member who may be having difficulty with gambling.
  • Investigates current community resources on a provincial bases and shares information with colleagues
  • Assists in developing and maintaining a resource library of gambling related material
  • Qualifications :

    This position is a great way to gain experience in the field of human / social services. Ideal candidates will have the following :

  • A Bachelor's degree, community college diploma or equivalent post secondary education (i.e. social work, psychology, etc.)
  • Thrive on providing exceptional customer service, combined with the ability to communicate clearly to our clients and colleagues.
  • Knowledgeable with MS Windows (Word & Excel).
  • Can work in a fast paced, client facing environment.
  • Bilingualism is an asset (French and English)
  • All applicants must be flexible to work shifts ranging from Days to Late-Evenings, with potential shifts occurring Mon - Sun.
