Our Vancouver, British Columbia office is looking for a Project Coordinator / Environmental Engineer ready to join our growing Canadian Operations within the BC Contaminated Sites Group.

As a Project Coordinator, you will be the day-to-day lead under the mentorship and supervision of a Project Manager with client service and project team coordination responsibilities.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in the environmental field with a strong understanding of the BC environmental legislation and regulations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

  • Working with senior staff in the full life span of project work from proposal preparation, project development, scheduling, budgeting, implementation, analysis and reporting
  • Coordinating and implementing environmental investigations including Stage 1, Stage 2, DSI
  • Developing viable remedial options for contaminated sites and implementing the remedial work plans
  • Coordinating technical resources and office and field personnel
  • Preparing technical reports including environmental investigation and remediation reports, design project specifications, contract documents, and regulatory submissions
  • Undertaking contract administration for small and large-value contracts
  • Reviewing and interpreting provincial and federal acts and regulations, municipal bylaws, etc.
  • As required to support projects, traveling to sites throughout BC and Alberta and overseeing field investigations and contractors
  • Skills, Competencies and Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including field work, Stage 1 PSIs, Stage 2 PSIs, etc.
  • Professionally registered (P.Eng., P.Geo., etc.) or a professional in training
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Experience managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail
  • Proven project and client management skills
  • Excellent English writing and verbal communication
  • A valid driver's license (an MVR check will be performed prior to hire)
