Intent of the process

This inventory will be used to staff similar positions on a temporary basis (term, acting, assignment or secondment) with various language requirements (English Essential, English or French Essential, Bilingual Imperative, BBB / BBB, CBC / CBC, CCC / CCC) and various security requirements within the Department across Canada.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION :

A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience.

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE :

First Class Marine Engineering, Transport Canada Certificate of Competency or CCG Marine Electrical Certificate combined with a minimum of 5 years of experience working for CCG in a vessel Life Cycle Management related field (operational or technical)

Second Class Marine Engineering, Transport Canada Certificate of Competency combined with a minimum of 10 years of experience working for CCG in a vessel Life Cycle Management related field (operational or technical)

Third Class Marine Engineering, Transport Canada Certificate of Competency combined with a minimum of 15 years of experience working for CCG in a vessel Life Cycle Management related field (operational or technical)

Extensive experience (10 years) in the procurement field with Public Works and Government Services Canada in the marine sector.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

EXPERIENCE :

Experience as a contracting authority OR as a technical authority OR as a Marine Engineer onboard of a heavy Icebreaker Vessel (Type T1300).

Experience as a contracting authority OR as a technical authority OR as a Marine Engineer onboard of a medium Icebreaker Vessel (Type T1200).

Experience as a contracting authority OR as a technical authority OR as a Marine Engineer onboard of a multitasked Vessels (Type T1100 & T1000).

Experience as a contracting authority OR as a technical authority OR as a Marine Engineer onboard of a Science Vessel.

Experience as a contracting authority OR as a technical authority OR as a Marine Engineer onboard of a Search and Rescue Vessels (cutter of 47 feet).

Experience as a contracting authority OR as a technical authority OR as a Marine Engineer onboard of a Patrol Vessels.

Experience as a contracting authority OR as a technical authority OR as a Marine Engineer onboard of an air cushion vehicle.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

Be willing and able to work overtime to meet operational requirements.
