The Department of Modern Languages at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a sessional instructor to teach the following course, subject to budgetary approval.
ML 1010I : INTRUDUCTION TO IRISH GAELIC LANGUAGE I
This course is intended for students with no proficiency in the language. This course provides an introduction to Irish Gaelic language, through the study of pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar.
It includes numerous oral drills, frequent written exercises, short oral presentations and simple readings.
Successful applicants should have relevant university degrees and enough experience in teaching Irish Gaelic as a second or foreign language at an academic college level.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster in the academic unit.
