Summary of Duties
We currently have a Permanent full-time vacancy for the Pharmacist Manager at the Holland Centre Pharmacy.
The primary responsibilities of the Pharmacist Manager are split between administration and clinical pharmacy activity. Therefore, the successful candidate should have the ability to lead projects and people and to consistently deliver results.
The successful candidate will be expected to prepare and manage a departmental budget, manage human resources for the pharmacy department at the site and provide clinical support services, as well as attend various internal and external committees.
In addition to having proven managerial skills, the successful candidate must have the skills and ability to introduce and maintain best practice models for the site.
For example, in pharmaceutical care : Medication reconciliation and patient education in compliance with regulations enforced by the Ontario College of Pharmacy and standards of Accreditation Canada.
patient counseling; participation in the education of students and multidisciplinary staff; safety report initiation and follow-
up; other pharmacy duties including participating in on-call activities and hospital and departmental committees.
